Structure first, finish second
The visible surface of a deck is only as good as what's underneath it. We start with correct bearer and joist sizing, appropriate fixing methods and proper drainage - the fundamentals that determine whether a deck stays solid for years to come or starts moving in two.
Allbuilt works with both hardwood timber and composite decking. Hardwood suits traditional homes and ages beautifully with maintenance. Composite suits low-maintenance builds and coastal environments where timber weathers quickly.
Every deck starts with a site visit to assess the ground, slope and existing structures. You'll receive a fixed written quote before any work begins.
MATERIALS
Timber or composite. We work with both.
Hardwood timber
Spotted gum, blackbutt, merbau and ironbark. Durable and well suited to the Central Coast climate. Requires periodic oiling to maintain appearance and longevity.

Composite decking
Low maintenance, splinter free and resistant to moisture, insects and UV. Suitable for coastal properties, pool surrounds and households that want a clean finish without ongoing upkeep.

Treated pine
A cost effective structural and surface option for standard residential decks. H3 and H4 treated pine is appropriate for ground level and elevated decks where budget is a priority.

SCOPE OF WORK
What we build
Ground level decks
Flat or gently sloped sites. Concrete footings, bearer and joist framing, decking boards and perimeter trim.
Elevated and split level decks
Sloped blocks and multi level homes. Engineered post and bearer systems, balustrades and stair access.
Pool surrounds
Non slip composite or hardwood surfaces around pools. Designed to drain correctly and withstand constant moisture.
Balustrades and handrails
Timber, cable and glass balustrade systems. Compliant with Australian standards for height and loading.
Stairs and access
Deck stairs, landing platforms and step down access. Sized and spaced to code.
Deck replacement
Existing deck surface replacement over sound framing, or full demolition and rebuild where the structure has failed.

Site visit and design
Allbuilt visits the site to assess the ground, slope, access and any council requirements. He'll discuss your ideas and recommend the right structure and materials for your situation.
Written quote
You'll receive a clear written scope covering all materials and labour, with a fixed price before work begins.
Build and handover
Allbuilt manages the build personally. On completion, he'll walk through the finished deck with you before handover.
